Most people can remember how painful it was to have an injection as a child, and how they would resist a trip to the doctor's office in fear of the needle. Imagine if you had to have a shot every day of your life. Or several times a day. That is the routine for 16 million diabetics in this country.
Until now.
Researcher Bill Williams at The University of Texas at Austin has teamed up with the New Jersey pharmaceutical company DelRx to eliminate insulin needles.
Their solution: an inhaler.
