UIL championship competition

Ann Richards, Barbara Jordan, John Connally, Don Meredith, and Earl Campbell all participated in UIL. So have millions of Texas students over the past 90 years and counting.

The University Interscholastic League (UIL), an extension of The University of Texas at Austin, affects more than half of the public school students in Texas. Acting as a sort of NCAA for public school competitions, the UIL is one of the oldest and most respected systems of school competition in the nation and the largest in the number of participating students.
